National Dance Day

Hello Dancers,

This year, National Dance Day (NDD) will be held on
July 28th.  This annual observance was created by Nigel Lythgoe, producer of the television dance competition show “So You Think You Can Dance”. National Dance Day is coordinated by Dizzy Feet Foundation (DFF) that focuses on supporting, improving, and increasing access to dance education in the USA.  This day is a celebration of the art of dance and aims to promote its many benefits as a fun and positive way to live a healthy lifestyle.

There is also a video contest!!!  A photographer will be filming our dance, which will then be submitted to NDD.You will be able to view your video, share it with your friends, and get votes within 48 hours

This year, my group has chosen to help support Dizzy Feets “DANCE TO GIVE BACK”, to help fund   and/or support dance education programs which expose children in under-served communities with access to the lifelong benefits of dance education through and with local community organizations.  A $1.00 donation from all participants is our goal; but of course you may choose to give more if you’d like =0)

I hope you will choose to be a part of our National Dance Day this year.  But, whatever way you chose, just get dancing!

Thanks,
Sandi
